So these Peanut Butter cups are AMAZING! If you are on THM you MUST make these! A little time consuming but so worth it.. I have looked around for a recipe for Chocolate peanut butter because it was my weakness, after many failed attempts I have finally created a recipe with things I liked a long the way! So here is a sugar free Recipe!
First Here are the ingredients you will need for Chocolate
1/2 Cup Cocunut Oil + 1TBSP
1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 CupNatural unsweetened Peanut Butter
5TBSP Ground Xylitol
3/4 Scoop Whey Protein Powder
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1tsp Heavy Cream (optional)
Peanut Butter Filling
3/4 Cup Natural unsweetened Peanut Butter
1TBSP Ground Xylitol
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Mix everything from Chocolate Recipe into a bowl. If it is Lumpy pop it into the microwave for 7-10 seconds. Stir until lumps come out, if not pop it back into the microwave for a few more seconds, mixture should be runny. Line a muffin Tin with Liners Put 1TBSP into each paper then pop it into the freezer for about 10 minutes. While in the freezer mix the Peanut Butter Filling into a separate bowl pop it in the microwave until runny. Take chocolate out of freezer and 1TBSP of Peanut butter mixture..If you double the peanut butter recipe you can add more peanut butter if you wish. Pop that back into the freezer for about 20 minutes, it wont completely harden but so it is stiff (you can start cleaning up your kitchen during the waiting process 😉 ) After that ad 1TBSP of the chocolate mixture on top and put them back in the freezer. Once frozen I take them out and stack them on top of each other to save room Wait at least 20 minutes and then Enjoy!! This is an S chocolate perfect for desert! Let me know any feedback as I have never “wrote” a recipe before.
It has been a very very long time since posting last. A lot of things have changed and kids are sure growing! Last time I posted I talked about how I ordered the THM book. Well I have been on and off plan for a while. From April-middle of June I was on it fully and lost 30lbs in 6 weeks !! Was very exciting. Somehow with the busy wedding season I lost track. From June-December.. But the awesome thing was I never gained a single pound back! I recently had my gallbladder removed this past Tuesday after 6 months of horrible attacks… not fun and I wish it on no body! Since the beginning of January I have been back on THM and this time it is more fun than ever! I have more of the special ingredients, getting more risky on things I make and tweaking my old favorite recipes to fit THM! In the first 2 weeks being back on plan I lost 10lbs and down 2 pant sizes! It is amazing how Trim Healthy Mama is working for me! So far with Trim Healthy Mama I have lost 40lbs! I have a lot more to go and so excited to get there, and to continue THM as the whole family loves it and everyone feels so much better! I have a chocolate recipe I have made that I am excited to share! Will be in the next blog post.
The Photography studio is doing great an I have accumulated a lot of props.. I may have become a propoholic.. Almost running out of room in there! I am privileged to photography a lot of babies which I love so dearly! I am also currently working on a new website for my photography as well! Which is very time consuming. I am very excited to finish it!
The kids are growing so so fast now. Lillian loves vegetables and Zayden not so much. Zayden is a little on the shorter side and Lillian tells him he’s short because he does not eat his vegetables.. quite hilarious. When referring to themselves they call themselves by their first and middle name..very cute 🙂
Keep watch for some yummy THM recipies! 🙂 And if you would love to learn more about THM head over to http://www.trimhealthymama.com
Was sitting here thinking wow it has been a long time since my last and “only” blog post on my personal blog. Got me thinking to share some of the exciting new things around here! Well first off I was very excited at church today when the pictorial directories arrived. I have been going to our church for a few years and I still do not know everyone, it is such a blessing we have such a large congregation to have that problem 🙂 So to save myself from future embarrassment of not knowing names, or calling someone the wrong name(has happened more than 3 times) while having a conversation with a fellow brother or sister I will definitely be doing some studying in my pictorial directory.
Something else very exciting is I have finally took the step to open a photography studio! I am nervous, scared, excited and probably a million other emotions over this. It is just a small space but is perfect for me. I am beyond excited to separate work from home, so when I am home I can give my children 100% of my attention! This means my editing and emails will only be done mainly at the studio! I am only going to be open by appointment only, so I can still do my most important Godly given tasks being a mother and wife. I know God has a plan for me and whatever the outcome of having the studio is His will.
Another exciting thing happening for me is I have ordered a book called Trim Healthy Mama, after bible study I had coffee at a friends and she told me about this book. I was intrigued by it all and after more research online, I decided to order it. I am so very excited to start the way to a better lifestyle, a diet full of whole foods, and being able to prepare wholesome nutritious meals for my family.
Also would love to say some things about my amazing kiddos
Lately I have been kind of sad how they are really growing up, and not babies anymore. Sometimes I will say to my daughter awe my little baby and she responds with a stern “I am not a baby mom, I am tall, or I am a big girl” She also says this when I try to tell her she is cute. She is such a smart little girl. Remember that lie parents used to tell their children when they had a pouty lip? “The birdy is going to come and poop on your lip” Well her response from a little 2 1/2 year old girl was “Oh your going to open the door and let them in?” She is such a caring girl as well. Currently Zayden is sick with a cough and runny nose and she is wanting to do everything for him, like a mommy would. I love how much she loves, and how caring she already is. She refers to herself as a big girl now because she is potty trained, sleeps in a big girl bed, can get dressed all by herself, and because she is “tall” lol . She always tries to help me cook, and clean and do the laundry, and always tries to help Travis as well. she is such a helper. Lately Zayden has been saying a lot more words! He is putting multiple words together now and forming short sentences. Sometimes I ask him the same question he already said “no” to just to hear the cute way he says it. He is such a silly boy and always insists on wearing his boots around the house, no matter what he is wearing. He is teething right now pushing his eye teeth through and is the biggest cuddly suck ever! I can’t complain because I love his cuddles, boogery and all 🙂 Him and Lillian play together quite well sometimes(other times your worried their could be blood) their new thing is bringing toys into either of their bedrooms and playing toys together, I am not allowed to interrupt them, as Lily says “close the door, we are playing” I never thought I would have quiet time like this at such an early age from them 😉
Well as you read enough ramble of mine I am going to say thanks for reading and hope to keep up with this lil blog of mine, and post more things, and share some of these yummy recipes in the Trim Healthy Mama book (p.s you can buy yours here http://www.amazon.ca/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Pearl-Barrett/dp/0988775115 ) A PDF version is also available! I am so excited to get started!
